Guest Cottages

There are many—in fact, over eighty—cottages available in the Waimea Plantation to accomodate all of your guests. The following four are provided as examples of the charm and simplicity of the Plantation.

Western Kauai’s flourishing sugar company built these charming cottages in the early 1900’s for its employees and their families. Today, they are enjoyed by people from all walks of life who come alone, as couples, in groups of family or friends. Here, time can stand still and one can enjoy the relaxing surroundings, beauty of nature, and the many activities Kauai has to offer. The cottages are appointed with period furnishings of mahogany, rattan or wicker. Each cottage is unique and has been created or restored to retain a charming historical simplicity.

The Bull Pen The Bull Pen is the newest addition to the Plantation. Located near the historic Kruse House, the Bull Pen once housed single men in the sugar plantation’s camp.
The Agapito Semana House The Agapito Semana House is so named in honor of a plantation worker and his family. It has been recently refurbished and redecorated to enhance your enjoyment of its convenient location and beautiful view of the ocean.
The Jean Burns Fayé House The Jean Burns Fayé House is an oceanfront four bedroom house located in a premier beachfront setting. This house is one of Waimea’s signature cottages.
The Kruse House The Kruse House was moved from its original oceanfront location in Kekaha to become the newest addition to the Plantation in October of 2000.
